Licensing terms are negotiated on a customer-by-customer basis.
Systems are commonly delivered with a license for MapInfo MapX as well as
MapLinker components that support hot-linking between GBM
Mapping and external applications.
The product is offered in the following editions:
Standard Edition
- This is the base system. It allows end-users with minimal GIS expertise to open and view GIS maps, interrogate information attached to map objects and track location provided by a connected GPS receiver.
- Additionally, users may draw annotations on a cosmetic layer and save that layer as a GIS data file. Maps can be saved between sessions and views copied to the Windows paste buffer for insertion into other Windows applications such as Microsoft Word.
- View and edit GIS attributes through custom forms similar to those included with the GBM Mobile software.
- This edition includes customisable GIS interrogation tools including Smart Find, GIS locate, and Smart Info.
- The standard edition supersedes GeoBasemap XLinker.
Linking Edition
- The linking edition incorporates all features of the standard edition but also supports hot-linking to external applications through GeoBasemap MapLinker Technology.
- MapLinker and the underlying GBM Linker integration server supports two way hot-linking between a wide range of external applications including GIS viewers, Document and Asset Management Systems.
Custom Editions
- GBM Mapping provides a robust framework for fast track development of custom mapping solutions. Customer specific implementations commonly incorporate custom dialogs and implement customer specific business rules that control interaction of these dialogs with the wide range of specialist mapping functions supported by the core product.
- Customers benefit from the reduced development time and reductions in ongoing software maintenance costs made possible from leveraging on the robust pre-developed components and mapping logic built into the GBM software development libraries.
