GBM MapLinker is commonly employed to build two-way hot-links from GIS maps to
document and asst management systems.
In a typical implementation a customer will click on a map object to invoke a
document management system, which will in turn present a list of documents relating to
the map objects. Map objects used for hot-linking commonly represent infrastructure items,
land parcels or asset locations.
Alternatively an operator may click a button in an asset management system to
highlight the map location of the selected asset.
MapLinker is commonly used to link MapInfo Professional with Microsoft Access forms
applications or with specialist programs developed in-house.
